One of the very first Windows games everyone plays is Ski Free. Why? Because it came with Windows '95, and everyone tries their free software at least once. This game, which most of you already probably know, was a simple skiing game where you moved a skiier left or right down a slope so as to dodge trees and aim for jumps. It is this game that Downhill Santa is based on.
Alright, so I try this game. It starts up and I watch the small introduction. I like it. I feel really excited about playing this game, oh I hate being disappointed. The problem being how the linear the game is. Firstly, you play the same course every time. Also, the whole thing seems too big, allowing less alternative routes fitting on the screen. And finally, there aren't any real alternatives, just left or right of particular trees; then you're back on the same course.
Basically what I am saying is, find your disks you got with Windows '95, and install Ski Free again. Its alot more fun.
