Every so often you come across a game so original that you have to pause for two minutes. Every so often you come across a game that is so well delivered that you have to drop your jaw for two minutes. And when you come across a game which includes both of these features and is free, you have to sit in shock for yet another two minutes!
If you hadn't already guessed, The Line can be described like this. The idea is so simple, yet original. The presentation is so basic, yet perfect. Everything about this came is the best that you could imagine. Right, enough praising, onto the actual game.
Your world is yellow. Your world is neverending. Your world is an unidimensional world. Your world is The Line. The Line is all and nothing. And, finally, The Line is flat. Nothing moves, nothing exists. But now your world is going to be destroyed by an unknown force. So, in this flat world, something start to move: you. You are Wavell, the Unexpected Wave, and you want only to survive from the destruction of your world. But your world is now become a dangerous place. Energy all over it's flatness created destructive waves, like the Snawaves. Energetic explosions, as line refluxes and bubbles. You are in danger, but you can't return to be a flat line: you must run. So, let's run!!"
Excellent fun, incredibly easy to get into, and, well as I said, excellent fun. So why not five stars? It just gets too repetitive after a while, but apart from that, simply majestic!
